Last week, the 1st Central County Ground hosted the latest hugely popular Where Cricket Meets event, which on this occasion was dedicated to Beaujolais Nouveau, the red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France that has spawned the ‘Beaujolais Day’ celebration.
The event was hosted by Tim Clarke and saw over 230 guests fill the Focus Group Boundary Rooms to enjoy a three-course meal served with Beaujolais Nouveau, along with a number of other wines. After the meal the guests enjoyed the chance to listen to an array of guest speakers including the likes of comedians Ian Moore and Patrick Monahanas as well as our very own Tony Cottey.
The next Where Cricket Meets will see us welcome former Arsenal, Celtic and Wales striker, John Hartson to the 1st Central County Ground for Where Cricket Meets…St David’s Day, which is taking place on the 24th February.
